Data Deletion & Account Management
At Multiposter, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your data. This page explains how you can delete your account and all associated data.
What Data We Store
- Account Information: Username, email address, and encrypted password
- Platform Connections: OAuth tokens for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook (encrypted)
- Video Data: Uploaded videos, thumbnails, and metadata (temporarily stored)
- Usage Analytics: Upload counts, platform usage statistics
- Subscription Data: Plan information, billing history, and payment details
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Through Your Account Settings
- Sign in to your Multiposter account
- Go to your Dashboard
- Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
- Navigate to the "Profile" tab
- Click the "Delete Account" button
- Confirm your decision by typing "DELETE" in the confirmation field
- Click "Permanently Delete Account"
Option 2: Contact Support
If you're unable to access your account or prefer assistance, you can request account deletion by:
- Emailing us at: support@multiposter.com
- Including your account email address in the request
- Specifying that you want to delete your account and all associated data
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
This Action Cannot Be Undone
Once you delete your account, all of your data will be permanently removed from our systems.
Account Information Deleted
Your username, email, and password will be permanently removed
Platform Connections Removed
All OAuth tokens and platform connections will be deleted
Video Data Deleted
All uploaded videos, thumbnails, and metadata will be permanently removed
Analytics Data Removed
All usage statistics and analytics data will be deleted
Subscription Cancelled
Any active subscriptions will be cancelled and billing will stop
Data Retention Policy
We follow a strict data retention policy to ensure your privacy:
- Immediate Deletion: Most data is deleted immediately when you delete your account
- Backup Cleanup: Any backup copies are deleted within 30 days
- Log Retention: Server logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security purposes (no personal data)
- Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law
Third-Party Data
Please note that deleting your Multiposter account will not automatically delete data from third-party platforms:
- YouTube: Videos uploaded to YouTube will remain on your YouTube channel
- TikTok: Videos uploaded to TikTok will remain on your TikTok account
- Instagram: Content posted to Instagram will remain on your Instagram account
- Facebook: Content posted to Facebook will remain on your Facebook account
You'll need to manually delete content from these platforms if you want it removed.
